  4. Ever gone to shut down your Mac, and wished there was a quick way to close
  5. all open windows?  Well now there is, and you can also express anti-Microsoft
  6. sentiments at the same time!
  7.  
  8. Kill Windows is a tiny little AppleScript application that tells the Finder
  9. close all your open windows.
  10.  
  11. What You Need:
  12.  
  13. You should be using at least System 7.5, with the AppleScript Extension and 
  14. the Finder Scripting Extension running.

  17. To use Kill Windows:
  18.  
  19. ･ Store the Kill Windows folder somewhere safe on your hard drive.
  20. ･ Place an alias of Kill Windows on your desktop or in your Apple Menu Items folder.  
  21. ･ When you want to close all open windows, launch Kill Windows. 
  22. ･ Voila - a nice clean desktop! 
  23. (You can also put an alias in your Shutdown Items folder, and Kill Windows will 
  24. automatically close all windows at Shutdown.)

  27. Changes since version 1.0:

  29. ･ Eliminated the "Close all open windows?" dialog box which means less work for you 
  30. and faster window closing.
